When two groups have the same members we call them related. Depending on the number of members that belong to both groups, the relatedness is higher.

How is relatedness calculated?
We count the number of common members between two groups. Lets call those two groups, group A and group B, where group A is the group for which we want to know the relatedness with all other groups. The relatedness is calculated as the number of common members between group A and B divided by the total number of common members for all groups that have members in common with group A.

Is there no better way to calculate relatedness?

No, only groups that have more than 5 common members with another group are included.
