The region counter counts at a regular interval the number of visitors in a specified region (complete SIM).
It is not possible to count visitors on a plot of land (part of a region), only complete regions can be tracked.
The statistics provided are the average number of visitors during a day (or hour, week or month). Therefore, this counter is suited for rather high traffic regions.
There is no need to place an object (counter) somewhere on the region/sim. Only the set-up of the counter requires that you place an object for the time of the set-up on the region you want to monitor. This means that monitoring will continue when there are no objects on the sim anymore.
Advantages compared to other visitor counters are:
- Sensor-based counters have a 96 meter range limit. This counter finds all avatars in the complete region.
- Counts more than 16 avatars simultaneously (normal sensors can only see a maximum of 16 avatars simultaneously).
